About Me
I’m Kelly Murphy, a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS) with a background in nutrition, exercise physiology, and performance coaching.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University and completed my dietetic training at Baylor University Medical Center. I then spent four years working as a clinical dietitian, where I learned to interpret health data and apply nutrition within a medical setting, working with a range of health conditions. I later went on to earn my Master’s in Applied Exercise Physiology from Columbia University.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked in collegiate athletics and performance settings, including roles at Columbia University, Duke University, Barton College, and Virginia Tech, where I supported Olympic sport athletes through both strength & conditioning and sports nutrition. That experience shaped how I think about the body, not in isolated pieces, but as an integrated system influenced by training, nutrition, recovery, and one’s environment.
My work now sits at the intersection of science and stewardship.
I work with individuals who want to better understand their bodies, not just change them. Whether reviewing labs, building a training program, or helping someone make sense of their nutrition, my goal is to bring clarity to what can often feel overwhelming or confusing.
I don’t believe in extreme approaches, rigid plans, or one-size-fits-all solutions.
Instead, I help people understand how their body actually works, so they can make informed decisions about how to eat, train, and live in a way that is both effective and sustainable.
My approach is rooted in a biblical view of the body, one that sees it not as something to control or fix, but as something to steward with wisdom and intention. That perspective shapes how I teach nutrition, how I program training, and how I help clients build habits that last.
Whether you’re trying to make sense of your labs, build a consistent training routine, or simply stop feeling confused about what you “should” be doing, my goal is to give you clarity, confidence, and a framework you can actually use.
Because when you understand your body, you’re better equipped to care for it well.
